From the first idea to a functional prototype, or production. I follow a clear and thoughtful process to bring innovative products to life. I always work in close collaboration with clients, engineers, business teams, and production. Depending on the project's needs, each discipline plays a crucial role, with varying intensity at different stages. The objective is to minimize unnecessary risks, maximize the chances of success, and ensure the product is durable, sustainable, and meets user expectations.
1. Understanding Needs
The first step is to listen and understand. I begin by discussing your ideas, challenges, and goals. Together, we define the key requirements and identify the needs of your target users.
2. Research & Insights
I dive into research to explore the context of the project. This includes studying the market, user behaviors, and existing solutions. This phase helps identify opportunities and ensures the project is well-informed.
3. Ideation
Here, creativity takes center stage. I brainstorm and sketch multiple concepts, exploring different approaches to solve the problem. Together, we evaluate these ideas to select the most promising directions.
4. Design Development
Once the concept is chosen, I refine it into detailed designs. Using 3D modeling and other tools, I create visuals and technical drawings that bring the idea closer to reality.
5. Prototyping
This is where the design comes to life. I create prototypes to test and validate the concept. Prototypes can range from simple mockups to functional models, depending on the project’s needs.
6. Feedback & Refinement
I test the prototype, gather feedback, and make adjustments. This ensures the final product is well-suited to its purpose and meets user expectations.
7. Small-Scale Production
For certain projects, I also manage small-series production. I collaborate with trusted manufacturers or handle in-house production to deliver high-quality results.
