Design of a Compact and Functional Power Strip for Chacon
The goal was to develop a versatile and user-friendly power strip that enhances everyday convenience while keeping production efficient and eco-conscious. The design features a compact form with a prominent switch, allowing users to turn it off easily with a simple tap of the foot. A diagonal cable exit makes winding and storing the cord effortless. By simplifying the structure with two injected shells, manufacturing costs were reduced while maintaining durability. The modular design also allows for interchangeable inserts, enabling variations with Wi-Fi connectivity, surge protection, or USB ports, making the power strip adaptable to different needs.
